Using multiple PC’s, whether at home or at work, is no longer such a rarity. However, a setup like this brings with it certain challenges, such as controlling multiple systems with one set of peripherals and transferring audio between them.
Audio Over LAN, as you can probably tell, will help you with the latter. It is designed to send uncompressed audio from a sound device to another PC on the network, without too much latency.
Two command-line programs on separate PCs
First off, let’s go through how the applications work. There are two of them in the archive, one for the streaming PC and one for the receiver. They’re both portable, so just copy each of them to the right PC to get started.
Next, you’ll need to open the streaming program and select the device that should have its audio sent over the network. All available input source will be listed, so just type the right value and press Enter.
Lastly, open the receiver program and insert the IP address of the streaming computer. If it’s correct, a connection to the server should now be established.
Easy to work with, despite the command-line interface
While the UI may not look all that novice-friendly, the applications are actually quite intuitive. After you have configured them initially, the receiver’s IP address, along with the selected input device, will be stored in a configuration file and used automatically.
Since these utilities are portable, they are also very simple to deploy. If you’re looking for a way to transfer audio across a network, and you don’t have a lot of time to waste on configurations, it should work just fine.
While clearly not the most advanced software of its kind, Audio Over LAN is a great choice for users who just want to send audio across a local network without too much fuss. It’s lightweight and portable, and it does the job.

Senate approves bill to ban trigger-slinging rifles
Although there are no definitive statistics, a national source estimates Arizona has shot a firearm more than a million times in the past year.
There has been a debate in the Legislature over whether there should be a specific definition of a “semiautomatic rifle” and what changes need to be made to the state’s current ban of assault weapons in exchange for giving voters the chance to weigh in on the issue this November.
The Associated Press estimated there are roughly 1 million firearms in the state.
Rep. Jeff Weninger, R-Riverside, said there is no official statewide estimate of the number of firearms in the state, but he said that the Arizona State Police could produce one.
Toward the end of the final hours of floor debate, Weninger successfully introduced an amendment to House Bill 25

Hi, I have some questions on the site. If you can help I’ll be very grateful.
1. Does OOL work from all DOS applications? I try to stream from DOSBox, but does not work.
2. Is OOL a program on the LAN or within the server? I tried to see the sound of the server, but after the audio go through the LAN nothing.
3. How to know the IP of the server.
4. I’m using X-Window, would it be better?
5. I always get the message “File Not Found”
Edit: I wish I could see the result and tell you how it went.
As for n1, if you use the client with one program, it will stream from that program without a problem. I’m not sure if it can stream from multiple programs simultaneously. There are many ways to achieve this. If you want to stream your audio from your DOSBox to your friends over the Internet, you could use Ustream. This allows you to play games or use other applications simultaneously. It will also allow you to stream audio from programs that do not support audio sending.
As for your second question, OOL is a server, so it can be installed on any machine with a capable sound driver. It will require a Windows server.
As for n4, there is currently a problem with Windows 7. You need Windows XP or Windows Vista. You can use another version of Windows, but it will not work properly. There may be a way to get it working, but there is no guarantee. I personally am running Windows XP, and it works like a charm.
As for n5, you will need to activate it. Unfortunately, there is no way to make it automatically activate, since there are many legitimate applications that need it.
Hi, I don’t know if you can help me, but I’ve read in the forums that OOL can work from DOS applications.
In my case, when I try to send sound from my DOSBox
